Here in North Texas, the last couple of years in real estate has been a wild ride. From multiple ‘way over asking’ bids on homes, to builders running out of materials and raising prices even on homes under contract. Now we face the mortgage interest rates returning to a more ‘average’ level after some incredibly low rates last year which Buyers used to their best advantage.
Even though the rates are higher, the home prices are stabilizing, and more homes are on the market, and on long enough that a Buyer can actually see them and ‘think about it’ a bit before deciding to make a bid.
